From the runways of Italy and New York City to the boardrooms of global enterprises and NGOs, Sharon has built a career defined by evolution, innovation, and impact. She started her journey in high fashion, walking prestigious runways before launching her own line of luxury women’s stilettos manufactured in Naples, Italy. However, her passion for business, leadership, and social change led her back to academia, where she earned her Master’s degree and later pursued her Ph.D. in Organizational Development & Leadership.

Sharon’s expertise spans across corporate strategy, process optimization, and global advocacy. She is a visionary social entrepreneur and the driving force behind Okubo Solutions, dedicated to strategic marketing, campaign execution, and branding for mission-driven organizations. With a passion for creating impactful initiatives, Sharon has worked extensively in corporate partnerships, sustainability, and global advocacy, helping NGOs and small to medium-sized organizations amplify their influence.

Beyond her work at Okubo Solutions, Sharon has demonstrated her commitment to public service and youth empowerment through leadership roles on prestigious boards. 

She has served as:

• A Goodwill Ambassador for a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) campaign mandated by the United Nations through the African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN).
• She has served on the Diversity & Inclusion board of PBS (WCTE) , the United States’ public broadcasting service, which is dedicated to educational programming and media excellence.
• She has also sat on the board of Generation for Creation, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering young people through creativity and leadership development.
• Founded an NGO in Kenya, addressing economic empowerment, clean water access, and gender equality.
• Achieved Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, specializing in lean practices and operational excellence.
